Βλέπω ότι το VMWare έχει βγει και σε Linux. Αυτό που δεν βλέπω είναι αν έχει βγει σε 64bit. Βοηθήματα υπάρχουν εδώ αλλά δεν τα κοίταξα ακόμη. Μου φαίνεται παράξενο γιατί στο e-shop της εταιρείας δεν είδα τίποτα σχετικό.
Ο Δημήτρης Γλέζος είχε αναφέρει για πρόβλημα όταν το Host OS είναι το Fedora μαζί με ένα patch.
Πιστεύω ότι ένα 64bit PC με 1GB RAM και σκληρό δίσκο SATA θα ήταν ότι καλύτερο για να δουλεύεις το VMWare σε Linux χωρίς να χρειάζεσαι και τα Windows XP-64bit. Λογικά δεν θα υπάρχει πρόβλημα και η τιμή, περίπου 180€, φαίνεται καλή αν τα χρήματα καταναλωθούν για επαγγελματική χρήση. Βέβαια, ένα καλό ρολόι βγήκα να δω και οι τιμές ήταν από 200€ και άνω.

Joomla vs Mambo

I must remind that Mambo remained open source. The only thing that changed is the decision-making proccess (of the development). Anyway, the developer of Remository decided to join the Mambo Developing Team (for more information click here).
One of the facts is that Joomla has already made 3 releases (two stability and one security, click here for the Roadmap).
Another fact is that Joomla is preparing for version 1.1 (very helpful, especially for UTF-8 handling).
What I do understand is that the new-born development team of Mambo is trying to understand the code of Mambo while the Joomla development team that already knows the code - continues.
As far as I can see, Joomla has a brighter future than Mambo and Mambo will always be behind Joomla. It's a shame for Miro because they offended the dev team by cutting them out of the decision-making proccess.

Joomla! 1.0.3
Δεν σταματάει η ανάπτυξη του Joomla!. Πριν από λίγες μέρες βγήκε η έκδοση ασφαλείας 1.0.3 . Παράλληλα αρκετά modules του Mambo έχουν αναβαθμιστεί και είναι συμβατά με το Joomla! .
Μάλιστα το myjoomla.gr παρέχει καλή υποστήριξη και εκτός από την ελληνική έκδοση του Joomla! , μπορείτε να βρείτε και τη μετάφραση σε κωδικοποίηση UTF-8 αντί για τη συνηθισμένη ISO-8859-7.

Joomla 1.0.2
After the first stability release for Joomla! (the 1.0.1) a few days ago, we have another (stability) release of Joomla!, the 1.0.2!
I am sure Joomla! is a CMS with full support. No need to say about the modules and the components it has. But I have to admit that Zoom Media Gallery is not compatible with Joomla! yet, so my site is made from scratch.
