Joomla!Radio

Another new Joomla module is great. It is the Joomla!Radio module (click here).Joomla!Radio is also HOT because everybody wants to use a webradio station today. It includes 30 radiostations, I heard two of them and they are nice.

Joomla is one of the most popular open source CMS and that's why many people use it as their framework. In the last few days many extensions with brilliant ideas have been added in the extensions webpage. I wish all the 3rd party developers submitted more patches and less extensions!

What's New Module for Joomla

In less than one day the downloads of the first release were more than 100. Not to mention the extensions' webpage hits that were more than 300. That's great for me but there is something even better that I will report at the end.

It is very good that many people have sent me e-mails and comments suggesting other options and I will try to implement them all. Because of these e-mails I had another release in two days.

If you have any suggestion please send me your feedback through here. I may use Joomla Forge for a small forum, bugzilla etc but it needs some time in order to organise all the data. What bothers me is that I see many many other extensions not in the Joomla Forge but in their creator's sites. So I have a small hesitation. But time will tell.

Now I am working on the component that was my original thought but there is a big difference with the module. The module is only statistics and no details while the component is the opposite, no statistics and only details. It will show all the links for the new content and I know that it will be more usefull because many people asked for something like that and one of them was me!

As the extensions' team has commented, this module is HOT !
And as a friend of mine says "A man is as big as he stands".

Back to work now... :)

Install Flash 32-bit and Opera 32-bit on Linux 64-bit

Google Analytics is using Flash for all the charts it presents. This is too bad because many people have 64-bit systems and Macromedia Flash is compiled only for 32-bit systems. The problem with Gnash (a Linux tool which can read some Flash playbacks) is that it doesn't work in Google Analytics.

The only solution is...

Third slip on Fedora Core 6 release date

Today we had the 3rd slip in the FC6 schedule. This time they set as release date the October 24th.

The 2nd slip was on October 16th and they mentioned October 19th.

The first slip was on October 10th and they mentioned October 17th.

Why don't they set as release date a date far away from the first set and they keep using small periods of time?
It would be better if they said "The release date is November 1st" and some days before November 1st they announce "Hey, we did it! Today we release Fedora Core 6". Only by this way we would say "you are heros!". Now the only thing people can say (due to out nature) we say "come on! can't you fix the bugs?"

A small Joomla hack for SEO

I used to visit Silktide to get my site's score. I saw that Joomla's sites always were lack of headings. Yes, the article's title is not a heading in the webpage. With a small hack you can change that.
